How to use this

Drop a Survey Excel first. Type MD values on the form — the model calculates TVD from survey stations (MD + INC). Never type TVD.

  • Survey (required) — Excel only (.xlsx / .xls; csv OK). Not PDF. MD + INC required (AZI optional). TVD is calculated from the survey — do not type it.

Everything else is typed on the form — mud, BHA, casing, window, procedure. No other file drops on this page.

Before you run

Check every number. Confirm yellow cells from the survey, then run. Re-read stays available when a survey draft is on file. Run is blocked without a survey.

Survey Excel is required above. Rig → Operator → Well, then MD — never type TVD. Yellow cells need a check before Confirm.

Open hole is automatic: deepest casing shoe → Hole depth (MD) above. ID = bit size. Nothing to type.

String
When on, hide the BHA and drill-pipe section tables — string is one DP OD/ID for full depth (quick path). Default off so you build BHA + DP sections.
First line is always the bit. Then motor, collars, HWDP, etc.

Bit — first line is always the bit. OD often matches hole/bit size; hole ID still comes from Bit size above.

BHA cumulative: — ft

Drill pipe (above BHA toward surface)

DP always runs from the top of the BHA to surface. For 2+ sections, list bit-side first, then toward surface; lengths split different OD/ID sections. Default 1 for simple wells.

DP 1 — bit-side first (just above BHA), then toward surface.

DP cumulative: — ft DP still extends to surface. For one section, leave length blank and the engine uses MD at bit − BHA cumulative; with 2+ sections, lengths split the string by OD/ID.

Dry or wet Slug means a dry trip. Wet trip — no slug. Type slug MW when dry.
Slug-in-kill? Yes = slug MW part of kill column. No = pump slug out; annulus KWM only.
From survey: shallowest MD where INC ≥ 90°. Yellow = draft — override if needed. Blank without survey. Never type TVD.
